I could also use it as the review lesson and pause it after each picture and have the students identify which food group the item in the picture belonged to. I could create a hook, that showed the different types of foods and even a video about healthy eating. For example, Animoto would be a great tool to teach my kindergarteners about MyPlate and how to identify fruits, vegetables, dairy, proteins and grains. You can pause the video as needed and ask students questions or you could even have them write down predictions about what is to come or descriptions of what they see. Check out our list of Canva alternatives. Animoto also doesn’t have as many teamwork options, but if you have your own workflow manager like Monday, its no sweat. Animoto has lots of templates and photos, but not nearly as many as Canva. Although they had to be at least one minute long for this particular assignment, you could make a video that is 10 minutes long, and use it as a part of your actual lesson. Canva seems to have everything Animoto gives, but a little more. The beauty of this program is that you can make the videos as long or short as you want. I would apply it to many different subjects. I really loved this program because it was a quick and easy way to create an interesting, attention-grabbing opener for a lesson.
